The Heights at Gracepoint

The Heights at Gracepoint is our second affordable housing community on the Gracepoint Wellness mental health campus in central Tampa. The site’s six grand oaks set the context for placement of the building, nestling it in to create a courtyard with a winding walking path. The trees also inspired the design concept of the front elevation with an undulating façade supported on a cluster of columns highlighted by a paint scheme emulating a pattern of dappled shade. The project consists of a new three-story independent living facility apartment building of 64 units. The building houses both seniors and residents with disabilities. On the first floor, resident amenities space are located at the northeast corner of the building to directly engage with the tree canopy. An outpatient clinic serving the larger community is located at the south end of the building. This project was designed and constructed to obtain National Association of Home Builders NGBS National Green Building Certification.
